a little sketchbook for the way you move
hold me like you mean it.
Spin me around. Start slow, speed up, then slow down.
I've always been fascinated by the nuances of movement. How things move, how moving feels.
The way waves build, swell, and crash. The feeling of momentum shearing into friction. The difference between resisting gravity and yielding into it. Each movement is a negotiation of forces and time.
So complex and also so inextricable from time.
I've wondered for years what it would be like to store a gesture in a journal, not a diagram, not an image. To be able to re-expereince how it moved in weeks or months.
This fall, I took Tools for Creativity at the School for Poetic Computation. It seemed like a good time to try.
And so, Under.
